Gloucester Marine Railways is a Massachusetts shipyard that has served the fishing fleet of New England since before the Civil War. We pride ourselves on being the oldest continuously operating railways in the United States.
In service to the modern commercial fleet, Gloucester Marine Railways drydocks and performs repairs and maintenance for fishing boats, tugboats, ferries, excursion vessels, the schooner fleet as well as smaller commercial and pleasure craft. With two marine railways and an 85 ton Travelift, we have the ability to address the needs of vessels of all sizes.
Our highly skilled crew is very capable and experienced with all vessel construction materials. Our signature service is a commonsense approach to maintenance and repair needs.
We are a full-service shipyard, conveniently located on Rocky Neck, a protected peninsula in Gloucester Harbor. In addition to our maintenance and repair services, we also offer dockage, fuel, water and supplies.
